Calling All Altos

The Surrey Hills Choirs are always on the lookout for experienced choral singers in all parts, both women and men, but just at the moment we are particularly seeking altos.

Here are the alto ladies of the Chamber Choir enjoying a late summer evening in Guildford before a recent rehearsal. If you're an alto too, why not come and meet them one Wednesday? We'd all love to see you.

We always perform without scores, so you don't need to be a good sight-reader to sing with us. Audio part files are usually available to help you learn your notes, but some ability to read music is preferred because it makes the learning process and early rehearsals run more smoothly. If you're prepared to work hard, and you love the kind of music that we sing, then you'll soon fit in!

You're welcome to visit any Wednesday evening from now until early December, from 7.30pm to 10pm in Guildford. Usually we're at the United Reformed Church in Portsmouth Road, and occasionally at St Nicolas Church, Bury Street. Find us. All we ask is that you contact our Musical Director Debbie Walton (debbie@surreyhills-choirs.co.uk) beforehand to let her know that you're coming.
